Our Homeopaths in Ghana

Precious

I studied under GHP and gained my Practitioner Diploma in 2021. In 2024 I applied for a GHP practice grant and it has enabled me to begin to set up my own practice which I deliver via an outreach programme to a community close to where I live.

I am a mother with a young family, and juggling motherhood, childcare and trying to set up my own business has been a challenge. The experience working with my colleague has helped me to gain experience in providing homeopathic care to the community, and with continued support I am able to transition into practising on my own.

I thank God for Homeopathy, I am registered as a homeopath and herbalist, so integrate both practices. I find that it is helpful to the client to be able to offer homeopathic treatment with nutritional advice and herbal treatment as required. Long live homeopathy!

Philomena

I am from a family who have a history of providing homeopathic treatment to the community in the central and surrounding regions. My brother and father both obtained the Practitioner Diploma in Homeopathic studies in Ghana supported by GHP. I too gained my Practitioner Diploma in 2021. I deliver homeopathy via community field work, and home visits and other outreach programmes in local and rural communities.

Adelaide

After graduating from my Practitioner Diploma course, I went to work for a private homeopathy clinic, to gain experience working as a homeopath. I also began to treat family and friends privately, and from this experience began to build a clientele of my own, and so set up small outreach clinics local to my home. This experience has motivated me to set up a clinic officially. I applied for the GHP practice grant recently, which will help me towards the cost of setting up my own clinic. In April I set up an outdoor clinic in the grounds of my local community church. I was supported by the local pastor, colleagues from primary health services and my supervisor. The outreach was well attended by adults and children.  I have done follow up reviews from this outreach via home visits. I am planning many more outreach programmes, where people benefit from  ‘on their doorstep’ homeopathic healthcare

Alice

I discovered homeopathy many years ago, when the proprietor of a local homeopathic clinic approached me. I was experiencing ill-health at the time and decided to try homeopathy, which resolved my complaint very quickly. That experience has led me to where I am now developing a homeopathic practice of my own. I have benefited from studying and graduating from a Practitioner Diploma course run by GHP,  and enabled to start my own practice with funding from the GHP practice grant, and with the continued support of the Ghana Homeopathy Project, I am now renovating a shipping container into a physical space of my own, the objective now is to develop a sustainable homeopathic service for Ghanaians locally, (and anyone able to travel to see me!).

Its taken guts, determination and a commitment to promoting the health and the well-being of my community using homeopathic treatment. I feel that all things are possible and I am grateful.

Bilikis

My name is Bilikis Alhassan. I am a homeopathic practitioner. My journey to starting a homeopathic practice in Ghana is as a young mother with two sons aged 3 and under. I was drawn to homeopathy through my own struggles, physical, emotional and financial. I wanted gentle, natural healing for myself and my children. The journey wasn’t easy. Balancing studies, motherhood, and having limited resources was tough, but my passion grew stronger with every challenge.

I started small, offering consultations from home, and gradually built trust in my community through good results and word-of-mouth. Today I run my practice via home visits, and outreach at an outdoor space next to a mosque. This way of offering homeopathy helps families, especially women and children, heal naturally. Being a mother gave me the compassion to walk the path, and I’m proud to help others find the path to wellness through homeopathy.

Pearl

I have a background in teaching and graduated from the University of Cape Coast in Psychology and Foundations of Education in 2016. I am also an administrator and accountant. I trained as a homeopathic practitioner and graduated with a diploma in the GHP class of 2021 and in a world where holistic and natural healing methods are gaining increasing recognition, homeopathy stands out for me as a powerful and rewarding practice.

Being a homeopath not only allows me to help people achieve better health but also offers personal and professional benefits that enhances my life in so many ways. More recently I became one of the teachers on the certificate course which has enabled me to bring together my homeopathy knowledge and teaching skills. Long live Homeopathy.

Tina

My name is Ernestina – Tina for short. I am a young person who is passionate about homeopathy. I have established a small affordable clinic: Liberty Homeopathy clinic, located very near my home in Dodowa. And I have been offering homeopathy to this community for over 2 years now and often get great results. People here are happy to access this gentle and long-lasting therapy, and gradually, people here are getting to understand homeopathy, there are some who don’t want to give it a try, but many others do.  I feel that with time homeopathy has a great future here in Ghana and in the rest of Africa too

I first trained in marketing but changed to join the health sector in the early 2000’s. I was the director of the Mafi Seva community clinic supported by an International NGO for fifteen years. I also served as coordinator of the Mafi Zongo Water Project. I have been involved in homeopathy since 2005 and as well as running a practice, I am happy to now share my learning with the current generation of newly qualified homeopaths and hopefully the next generation too. I am currently working with the Ghana Homeopathy Project, a UK-based charity, as a practitioner who also trains others in the community. I am a mentor and supervisor for GHP and run supervision groups for the graduate cohort in the Volta region and in many regions in Ghana.
